The prompt for the 20th is to write fan fiction, which is definitely not something I have any kind of comfort level with! I don’t know quite why, either, as some of the more popular topics for fan fiction (like Harry Potter) are books I really love.

When I was a kid, I used to imagine myself in my favourite television shows (the one I remember most particularly doing this with was MASH), but that’s as far as I go.

Anyway. I did spend some time entertaining some fan fiction possibilities, but there is something that really holds me back. I think that part of it is that I do not feel quite up to the task, that I do not have the extreme familiarity or comfort level with any of the books or films that I would use. (And this is kind of silly, really, because I am definitely as qualified as anyone to write, for example, Pride & Prejudice fan fiction or Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy stuff.)

So. No fan fiction.
