I’ve been rather neglectful of the blog over the last several years (for a number of reasons, some of them rather good!), but I have plans to get this back going on a regular basis (what is regular? one post a month as a goal I hope to beat 😉 ).
I’ve thought of doing a newsletter–and I still may–but the blog is *right here* where it’s been since I started it 15(!) years ago. (And let’s be real, I write a newsletter for work and I do like keeping divisions between work & the rest of my life.)
I’ll have a lot to say later, but for now here are some imminent updates.
Events!
Rainbow Space Magic, the virtual queer speculative fiction convention that I lead the organizing team for is coming up on October 4th and 5th. You can register and check out the schedule on the website.
I’ll be moderating “How Do You Write When the World Is Falling Apart,” a discussion about staying motivated in the face of writer’s block, imposter syndrome, and overall dread on Sunday, October 5th at 1:30pm Eastern.
And later in October, I’ll be at Can*Con, my local speculative fiction con, October 17-19. I’ll be moderating two panels on Sunday, the 19th: “Constructing a Historical Protagonist” (10am) and “No Story Left Behind: The Ups and Downs of Submitting Short Fiction” (1pm)
As well, I have 3 forthcoming stories. None of specific release dates, but I’ll update those as soon as I can. (At least 2 are planned to come out this fall.)
Talk more soon!
